JANIN BAYI DITEMUI DI KAWASAN UITM

KOTA KINABALU: Seorang pekerja penyelenggara Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sabah yang melihat kesan tanah seperti digali di kawasan Loji Kumbahan UiTM di sini baru-baru ini terkejut apabila menemui mayat janin bayi dibaluti dengan sehelai kain putih dikuburkan di situ.

Dalam kejadian kira-kira jam 3.30 pagi itu, lelaki berusia 40-an itu terkejut apabila melihat kesan tanah seperti baru digali dan menyangkakan ia perbuatan individu mencuri kabel elektrik, lalu mengorek tanah berkenaan.

Selepas itu, pekerja berkenaan kemudian menemui sehelai kain putih yang berlumuran darah, lalu membukannya dan terkejut apabila menemui satu ketulan daging sebesar ibu jari dipercayai janin manusia.

Ekoran penemuan itu, lelaki berkenaan memaklumkan kepada pegawai UiTM sebelum bertindak memaklumkan kepada seorang doktor di UiTM, yang mengesahkan ketulan daging itu adalah janin.

Kemudian pihak pengurusan UiTM memaklumkan kejadian itu kepada pihak polis untuk tindakan lanjut.

Ketua Polis Bandaraya, Asisten Komisioner Ahmad Sofi Zakaria ketika dihubungi mengesahkan kejadian itu.

“Selepas menerima maklumat kejadian itu, sepasukan anggota polis bergegas ke tempat kejadian dan menemui ketulan daging dipercayai janin yang ditanam berdekatan loji kumbahan di UiTM Sepanggar, di sini.

“Hasil pemeriksaan mendapati, janin berkenaan baru sahaja ditanam di kawasan berkenaan, namun belum dikenalpasti siapa pelakunya,” katanya.

Sofi berkata, janin berkenaan kini dihantar ke Hospital Queen Elizabeth (HQE) untuk bedah siasat.

“Janin itu dipercayai berusia lingkungan tiga bulan dan siasatan akan dijalankan untuk mengesan individu yang terbabit sama ada ia perbuatan pelajar atau orang luar.
